Entry Registration is Open

This competition is open to any California-based, legally licensed, commercial cider/perry/jerkum producer. In general, the competition is open to non-grape-based fruit fermentations produced in California.

All entries must be commercially fermented in California and be available for sale to the general public.

Producers may enter multiple entries in each category.

Shipped entries must arrive by the shipping deadline date: - ___  *please account for shipping time.

The competition organizers are not responsible for mailed entries that are not received by the entry deadline, mis-styled entries, entries with unreadable attached style labels, and entries that arrive damaged.

Qualified judging of all entries is the primary goal of our event. Judges will evaluate and score each entry according to the style guidelines. The average of the judges' scores will rank each entry in its category. Entries with the highest scores will then be judged in a finals round for each style (as long as there are enough entries). Judges will award 1st, 2nd & 3rd place per style category.

1st place winners of each style category will automatically be entered in the Best Of Show as the final competition of the Cup.

The competition committee reserves the right to combine overall style categories based on the number of entries. All possible effort will be made to combine similar styles. All cider/perry/jerkum in combined categories will be judged according to the style they were originally entered in.

Entry Acceptance Rules

Submitted entries must be retail-ready packaging; please send 2-3 samples for the 1st round and potential Best of Show judging sessions.

Style category tags must be attached to every bottle/can and be clearly handwritten or typed. They can be printed directly from this website. Please attach securely to each package with clear packing tape.
